Attorney
Randy L. Frokjer

RANDY L. FROKJER has been an attorney since 1986.  He was a partner and president of a local law office in Merrill from 1988-2020, prior to moving north to Tomahawk and starting a solo practice as “Frokjer Law, LLC”.  Mr. Frokjer has worked in Lincoln County for over 33 years as a fulltime attorney.

He is married with one adult daughter, residing locally with his wife, Katie Frokjer, and enjoys sports and nature, particularly fishing and hunting.  Katie has joined his solo practice in Tomahawk as the office bookkeeper, and his paralegal and office manager of nearly 21 years, Julia, has made the move with him.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Frokjer worked in financial services and as a biologist for the Canadian Fish & Wildlife Service.  He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers at UW Madison from 1972-1974.

Mr. Frokjer received his Bachelor of Science degree from UW Madison, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law.  He is listed in the Who’s Who in American Law and was chosen as a Leading Wisconsin Attorney by America’s Most Respected Legal Counsel as Selected by Their Peers. Fewer than 6% of the state’s attorneys have had this honor.

Having been part of the Lincoln County Bar Association for most of his legal career, Attorney Frokjer has served as president, vice president, and secretary/treasurer for this organization. Through this membership, he helped sponsor and organize continuing legal education courses in Lincoln County and taught in the Junior Achievement Program at Merrill High School.

Being a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association for many years, he has been recognized for outstanding service to the local community.  Throughout his career, Attorney Frokjer has often provided and donated legal services to charitable organizations within the community.

Mr. Frokjer represents many towns and villages within central and northern Wisconsin, attending numerous after-hours meetings on behalf of their residents, and has dealt extensively with growth problems that urban municipalities face.  As part of this, he regularly deals with elected officials, politicians, and government representatives, and has worked long and hard to achieve resolutions.

Legal areas of practice include personal injury, farm and construction accidents, real estate, business organizations, estate planning, probating estates, municipal law, and miscellaneous other legal areas.
